Hello, I’m Rachel Hudson
I am a freelance illustrator based in rural Hampshire, working from a cottage that was once the village stores.
After getting my BA and MPhil in the History of Art, working in galleries and then nature conservation, I found my true passion in illustrating and have been working full-time as a freelance illustrator since 2014. In 2018 and in 2019 I was shortlisted for Best Rural Creative Business in the South East and Greater London region for The Rural Business Awards in partnership with Amazon.
I work in Adobe Illustrator and have developed a style that blends both digital and traditional techniques. Wildlife is my favourite subject to illustrate and I am thrilled to be working with many of the leading nature conservation organisations and publishers.
I produce my own eco-friendly greetings card, art prints and illustrated gift range, rhudsonillustration. My work is exhibited and sold in galleries and gift shops in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
